Biography
Dr. Jessica Gonzalez Haugen was born in Montebello, California. She previously worked as a medical assistant at the Family Care Specialists Montebello office, where she grew to enjoy taking care of families and became motivated to serve this community after the completion of her medical training. Dr. Haugen feels honored to build relationships with her patients who are a source of inspiration. The positive experiences that Dr. Haugen and her family have had as patients within the healthcare system has made her even more passionate about delivering high quality, coordinated care to her patients.
Dr. Haugen graduated from the University of Southern California, where she majored in Human Development and Aging at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. She subsequently became a Nutrition in Medicine Scholar while in medical school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. Dr. Haugen also served as Chief Resident at the Adventist Health White Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program.
Throughout her medical career, Dr. Haugen has been proactive in the community. She received the Community Medicine Award at the completion of her residency and the Silver Award for Translating Osteopathic Understanding into Community Health in medical school. She has also been involved in the National Charity League, became a Health Navigator at Adventist Health White Memorial, and served as an American Heart Association Multicultural Initiatives Intern. In her spare time, Dr. Haugen enjoys spending time with her family and hosting celebrations.
