For Dr. Castro, believes
being a physician means not only having medical knowledge
but also
being compassionate.
Raised in El Sereno, a community in northeast Los Angeles,
he attended public high school there and then went on to
Stanford
University for his undergraduate degree. He received his
medical degree from the University of California, San Diego.
After completing his family practice residency at Cook County
Hospital in Chicago , Dr. Castro worked for two years on
an Apache reservation
in Arizona . He finally returned home to his community
in 1988, where he has remained happily settled. Dr. Castro
is board-certified
in family medicine, and keeps up with ongoing medical education
and advances in order to provide the best medical care
for his patients. Dr. Castro strives to always listen to
his patients
and to answer their questions in ways they can understand.
